Accelerated Christian Education {A.C.E} – A Review

Accelerated Christian Education A.C.E is a self-paced curriculum which allows the curriculum to be tailored to each child's individual ability and level.

The school year is approaching its end and it’s time to once again re-assess our homeschools. Are there things we need to change? Resources that have or have not worked? Perhaps you are moving into a different season in your homeschool. This is what we as a homeschooling family have recently gone through. Up to now we have used an eclectic Charlotte Mason approach. We

Seekers Of The Lost Boy

A review of Seekers of the Lost Boy - "Read it slowly so we can read this book forever, but read it quickly so I know what happens!"

A few months ago I caught wind that a homeschooling mamma had followed her passion and written a book. Not just any book, but a book that fit needs she saw. A book written about homeschoolers, for homeschoolers {and others}, that is full of vivid characters and places making the reader want to return to it again and again. Here’s a description of the book,

Digital Homeschool History Curriculum

Digital homeschool history curriculum from Compass Classroom offers a wonderful Biblical worldview which is very important to us. And the digital, streaming classes make it so very versatile for a high school schedule and cycling through homeschool history.

We finish up homeschooling high school with our third child and start high school with our fourth very soon. It’s at both these celebratory times and in the day-to-day that I find myself so very grateful for digital homeschool history curriculum from Compass Classroom. All of Compass Classroom’s curriculum offers a wonderful Biblical worldview which is very important to us. And the digital, streaming classes

Five In A Row Review

Five in a Row review and how this literature based approach is used in homeschool. My son so thoroughly enjoyed his lessons he never once thought of it as school!

When we first began home educating our eldest son we began with the Five In A Row Curriculum. I was smitten with the fact that it used many beloved picture books and would introduce us to some new ones we weren’t quite familiar with. We used the Five In A Row (FIAR) Curriculum for five beautiful years with our children before it was, sadly, time

American Kids in History Book Series

American Kids in History

I disliked history classes as a child because I struggled to memorize names and dates, but as a homeschool mom I discovered a love for history studies!  We enjoy immersing ourselves in the lives of the people living in different periods, and one way to keep our studies engaging and fun is by having a little hands-on fun.  I wanted to share with you a

Homeschool History and Geography Curriculum Reviews

Homeschool History and Geography review round up! | The Curriculum Choice

History has always been the backbone of the homeschool plan in my home. What I mean is that I often plan and build my homeschool curriculum choices and enhancements around our history for the year.  I love to add historical fiction for our reading selections and art lessons for some hands on history projects. I also love approaching this subject in the homeschool environment. If
